Common Medium Red Clover "VNS" UT (50 lb bag)
It is recommended to use red clovers and white clovers mixed together for grazing. Red clovers are more drought tolerant and productive than white clovers, but white clovers have a higher quality. Red clovers are more tolerant of wet soils and have a lower pH than alfalfa. In trials at Penn State, the average yield of red clovers was a little higher than the average yield of the leafhopper-resistant alfalfas one year after seeding.
• A low-cost legume cover crop • Short-lived clover that is shade tolerant • Soil builder and weed suppressor • Attracts beneficials • Good for forage
